Tweaks to the Geo Storm

Throttle Body Tension.

The Storm throttle body is set with some slack by factory, if you tighten just a bit, you'll notice it gets up on it a little more. Remember not to make it too tight, this could cause damage to the throttle body, the cable, or the blade in the throttle body. Please be aware of these things before you try. Idealy there should be about 1/8 of an inch play in the cable.. Questions or comments please email at the bottom of this page and I will be happy to help you.

Plugs.

The Geo Storm Plugs are good for one thing, A stock storm, But for the rest of us this just wont do. When you want power, I recomend Bosch Double Platinums. They are available at just about any parts store. Make sure they are designed for your motor, and there is a difference between the SOHC and DOHC plugs, be aware, and make sure. If you need help then email me and I will do my best to help you out.

Wires.

The stock Geo Storm Wires are 7mm silicone wires. For better performance I recomend 8.8mm high-flow wires. As with the section on plugs these are available at any parts store, look for either MSD , or ACCELL wires. If you need assistance then please email me and I'll be glad to help you out.

Coil.

When it comes to coils and performance, there are only 2 names that come to mind, either MSD, or ACCELL. IMPORTANT: Make damn sure the coil you get is designed for your car. If it isn't then DONT hook it up, if you do you risk blowing your electrical system away. Verify the part numbers match before you attempt. Again if you need any assistance email me and I'll help you out.
